Miles Monroe wrote in his book “Discovering the Kingdom”, that time is our life’s currency.
As I think about life and all the things we pursue in it.
Nice housing
Very nice car
Good job
Money in the bank
Relationships
We spend our life’s currency (time ) on them. I am the first to say we need them all.
My question is how much currency are you spending on the things that are eternal?
How much time are you spending to secure that “Other house not made with hands”?
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” II Cor. 5:1
The time we spend on that good job, time washing and shining that very nice car, do you spent equal time seeking the thoughts God has about you?
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11
And finally how much time (life’s currency) have you spent developing a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
These things we can’t take with us. “… Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither… Job 1:21.
The only thing we shall take with us is our relationship with Jesus Christ, make sure you have one in good standing.
